Siren.Audio — Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: July 21, 2026 | Last updated: August 8, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets rules for using Siren.Audio (the "Service") and for content or information submitted to it. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service and applies to listeners, creators, publishers, and other users. Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, payout holds, purchasing restrictions, suspension, termination, or referral to authorities where appropriate.
1. Protecting content and the Service
You may not:
- copy, extract, record, rip, screen-capture, redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense, publicly perform, broadcast, or stream to others any protected audiobook or other Service content, except through a feature we expressly authorize;
- circumvent, disable, or interfere with digital-rights management, access controls, signed or time-limited links, watermarking, authentication, or other security or content-protection measures;
- access the Service or its content through bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated means except as we expressly permit, or harvest audio, data, or other users' information;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction;
- probe, scan, test, or exploit vulnerabilities or bypass authentication or security controls; or
- overload, disrupt, impair, or interfere with the Service, its infrastructure, or another user's access.
2. Accounts, payments, returns, and promotions
You may not:
- create an account using materially false information, impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation or authority;
- share, sell, transfer, or traffic in accounts or credentials, or use another person's account without permission;
- use stolen, unauthorized, fraudulent, or unlawfully obtained payment methods;
- engage in payment fraud, money laundering, coordinated chargebacks, or deceptive billing claims;
- abuse return or Store Credit systems, including repeated returns designed to consume Titles without paying, serial returns after substantial listening, or use of multiple accounts to evade return restrictions;
- abuse memberships, free trials, promotional credits, promo codes, referral programs, giveaways, or other offers, including by creating multiple accounts or generating artificial redemptions; or
- resell or transfer access to Titles, memberships, credits, Store Credit, or promotional benefits.
3. Content standards
Content you submit or publish, including User Content, Seller Titles, audio, cover art, descriptions, metadata, reviews, ratings, and profile information, must not:
- infringe or misappropriate copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, contract, or other rights, or be submitted without all rights and permissions required for the intended use;
- consist of a stolen, pirated, unauthorized, or fraudulently represented book, audiobook, recording, cover, narration, translation, or other protected work;
- be unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or hateful, or unlawfully promote violence or discrimination against people based on protected characteristics;
- sexually exploit or endanger minors in any way;
- contain malware, malicious code, phishing, or links intended to harm, deceive, or compromise users or systems;
- be spam, materially deceptive, or manipulative, including fake reviews, ratings manipulation, keyword stuffing, or misleading metadata;
- disclose another person's private or personal information without authorization; or
- otherwise violate applicable law, regulation, court order, or a binding obligation.
4. Fair and honest use
You may not manipulate the Service or its economics, discovery systems, or payout calculations. Prohibited conduct includes artificial plays, downloads, sales, returns, redemptions, reviews, ratings, account activity, payout activity, or other fabricated engagement; collusion intended to inflate or suppress performance; and attempts to exploit technical or policy loopholes.
5. Seller rights and payout integrity
Creators and publishers may monetize only Titles they are authorized to distribute and monetize. A Seller must provide reasonable evidence of rights when requested. Submitting false rights information, stolen content, or a Title the Seller does not have authority to monetize is a material violation.
If we reasonably suspect infringement, fraud, or unauthorized publication, we may disable the affected Title and hold or delay payouts while we investigate. If we determine that a Title is unauthorized or infringing, revenue attributable to that Title is not payable and may be withheld, forfeited, offset, remitted, or clawed back as provided in the Creator & Publisher Agreement and applicable law.
6. Reporting and enforcement
Report suspected violations to support@siren.audio. For copyright complaints, use the process in our Copyright & DMCA Policy.
We may investigate and take action we consider reasonably appropriate, including removing content, limiting returns or purchasing features, restricting promotions, holding Seller payouts, suspending or terminating accounts, preserving evidence, and making disclosures when permitted or required by law.
For consumer accounts, a restriction on future purchasing, returns, or promotions does not by itself remove lawfully acquired Titles from the user's existing library. Access may still be removed when the underlying payment is reversed or fraudulent, the content must be removed for legal or rights reasons, or another enforcement basis applies under the Terms.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP prospectively. Material changes will be posted with a new Last updated date and any additional notice required by law.
