Siren.Audio — Refund & Returns Policy
Effective date: July 21, 2026 | Last updated: August 8, 2026
This Refund & Returns Policy explains when a Siren.Audio Title may be returned, how returned value is credited, and when a cash refund may be available. It is part of our Terms of Service. Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable right available under applicable consumer-protection law.
1. À la carte audiobook returns
Because audiobooks are digital content delivered immediately, routine returns of individual ("à la carte") Title purchases are available only when all of the following are true:
- the return request is made within 90 days of purchase;
- you have listened to less than approximately three hours of the Title; and
- you have not downloaded the Title for offline listening.
If all three conditions are met, the Title is ordinarily eligible for an immediate self-service return. The purchase value is credited to your Siren.Audio account as Store Credit; it is not refunded to the original payment method.
If the purchase does not meet all three conditions, it is not automatically eligible for return. You may still contact support for review if there is a defective or materially incomplete file, duplicate charge, incorrect transaction, or another documented problem. We will also honor any remedy required by applicable law.
How to request. Open the order in your account and use the available return option, or contact support@siren.audio.
Effect of a return. When a Title is returned, your license to that Title ends and the Title is removed from your library. Store Credit issued for the return remains subject to these Terms and has no cash value except where required by law.
2. Credits, Store Credit, and redeemed Titles
2.1 Credit redemptions. If you redeem an eligible membership credit for a Title and later make an eligible return, we ordinarily restore the credit to your account instead of issuing Store Credit or cash. A restored credit does not expire, and it remains subject to any other restrictions that applied to the original credit.
2.2 Promotional credits. Promotional credits and complimentary redemptions have no cash value. A returned promotional redemption may restore the promotional credit if the promotion allows it; a restored promotional credit does not expire. Otherwise, no cash or replacement value is owed except where required by law.
2.3 Store Credit. Store Credit is account-based, non-transferable, not legal tender, and not redeemable for cash except where applicable law requires otherwise. Store Credit may be used only for eligible Siren.Audio transactions.
3. Cash refunds
Routine eligible Title returns are credited to the Siren account rather than refunded to the original payment method. A cash refund may be issued when required by applicable law or when Siren specifically approves it for circumstances such as a duplicate charge, billing error, unauthorized transaction, or a material service problem. Any approved cash refund is sent through the applicable original payment channel when reasonably possible.
4. Membership subscriptions
- Cancel anytime. You may cancel a Siren.Audio membership in your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals and ordinarily takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- No partial-period refunds. We generally do not issue cash refunds or prorated refunds for a billing period that has already started, except where required by law or specifically approved for a billing error or material service problem.
- Credits after cancellation. Credits already granted do not expire and otherwise remain subject to their original terms.
- Price changes. If the recurring price changes, we will provide notice as required by law. You may cancel before the next renewal if you do not want to continue at the new price.
5. Gifts
An unredeemed gift may be eligible for return under the same timing and usage principles that apply to à la carte purchases. Routine returns are credited as Store Credit to the purchaser's Siren account rather than refunded in cash. Once a gift has been redeemed, any return request is evaluated based on the recipient's use of the Title and the value may be restored or credited as reasonably appropriate to the original transaction, subject to applicable law.
6. Apple App Store and Google Play purchases
If you purchased a Title or subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store processes the transaction and controls its refund process. Siren generally cannot issue Store Credit or a cash refund against a store-controlled charge unless the store and our systems expressly support that adjustment. Request store-billed refunds and subscription changes through the applicable store.
7. Disputed charges and chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact support@siren.audio before initiating a chargeback so we can investigate. A chargeback, payment reversal, or suspected fraudulent transaction may result in temporary suspension of access to the affected Title, transaction, or account while the matter is reviewed. If the payment is reversed, the related Title may be removed from your library.
8. Return and purchasing abuse
Returns are intended to address legitimate purchase mistakes and customer issues, not to provide free consumption of audiobooks. We may identify abuse based on factors such as repeated returns after substantial listening, serial returns across many Titles, multiple accounts used to evade limits, deceptive claims, coordinated promotional abuse, or chargeback patterns.
If we reasonably determine that an account is abusing returns, Store Credit, promotions, or purchasing systems, we may remove self-service return eligibility, require manual review, restrict Store Credit or promotions, suspend membership benefits, or limit or disable future purchasing. A purchasing restriction alone does not remove lawfully acquired Titles already in your library. We may still remove access to a Title tied to a reversed or fraudulent payment, a legal or rights-holder requirement, or another valid enforcement basis under our Terms.
Serious or repeated fraud may result in account suspension or termination under the Terms of Service.
9. Statutory rights
Consumers in some jurisdictions have mandatory rights concerning digital content, including remedies for faulty, misdescribed, or unlawfully supplied content. Some rights may depend on whether digital performance has begun and on the consent or acknowledgments provided at purchase. This Policy does not waive any right that applicable law does not permit you to waive.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy prospectively. Material changes will be posted with a new Last updated date. The version applicable to a transaction will be determined by applicable law and the terms presented when the transaction occurred.
